BAKER OBSERVATORY

The William G. and Retha Stone Baker Observatory was established in 1977. It is used for astronomical research by both faculty and students. A master plan for this facility is being developed to better identify its needs.

BULL SHOALS FIELD STATION
Missouri State University began operations of the Bull Shoals Field Station in 1999. The station provides a location for faculty, students, and visiting scientists to conduct research and educational programs which promote public awareness of Southwest Missouri ecosystems. Work will continue to identify and address the station�s physical needs.

MOUNTAIN GROVE CAMPUS
Missouri State-Mountain Grove is a 190-acre campus located in Mountain Grove on the Ozarks Plateau in rural South-Central Missouri. Phase I of FREUP will provide for renovation of Shepard Hall to include resolution of various life-safety problems, creation of new lab space, and renovation of existing lab space.

WEST PLAINS CAMPUS
Missouri State University-West Plains is a 20 acre, open admission campus located 110 miles southeast of Springfield in West Plains, Missouri. Phase I of FREUP includes renovation of Gohn-Wood House to create counseling, advisement and office space to support the four-year undergraduate degree programs delivered to West Plains. Also, a replacement facility for Hass-Hoover Hall will be constructed to house an expanded Academic Support Center.

WILLIAM H. DARR AGRICULTURAL CENTER
The William H. Darr Agricultural Center, located in Springfield 4 miles southwest of the main campus, will continue to be expanded to provide additional educational opportunities for the University�s Department of Agriculture. Phase III improvements will consist of paving all of the interior roads, construction of parking lots on the east and west sides of the Pinegar Arena, and replacement of a low-water crossing. This phase is anticipated to be completed by the Fall of 2007. Subsequent work will include improving the visibility to the north along Kansas Expressway, construction of a deceleration lane on Kansas Expressway and construction of a classroom facility
